10:20 PM, June 24, 2003 (27 hours travel time)
I was surprised to hear the captain announce we were making our initial approach into DFW. Hill and I had been talking the whole time and it was amazing to me that time, for once on the trip home, had flown by (no pun intended).
I was excited to get off of the plane and see my friends Brendan and Jennifer there waiting for me. My luggage arrived quickly, and I was off to my house to see my cats and my bird – droning on and on to Brendan and Jennifer about how wonderful Niña was and how much fun my adventurous trip to Cebu was.
So there my trip is in a nutshell. My trip there, my trip back. One way was uneventful, the other way had be reaching for my SARS mask due to the smell. ;)
